Beavertown’s Snapshots in Time Book: A Rich History in 348 Pages
Beavertown's history comes to life in the hardbound Beavertown’s Snapshots in Time book, a comprehensive 348-page volume that showcases approximately 1,000 historic photos and detailed accounts of the borough's past. Covering a wide range of topics, the book highlights Beavertown's War Memorial, borough council, 850 local businesses, community celebrations, organizations, musical groups, sports, car racing, schools, churches, the U.S. Post Office, mayors, notable residents, police, doctors, streets, and the railroad.
We initially ordered 450 copies, and they sold out in just over two weeks! The response has been overwhelmingly positive, with many people sharing their appreciation for the book:
"Whoever worked on this book outdid themselves. It is a wonderful historical book where old meets new. Thank you for putting this together."
"This book is a real treasure. A lot of time and effort put into this. A huge 'thank you' to all involved in the preparation and distribution."
"I got the WOW book today!!!!! Fabulous job. I just scanned it, but it looks GREAT!!! THANK YOU!!!!!"
"This book is a must-see gem of memories for all, near and far. WONDERFUL JOB!!!"
"I really enjoyed the book. I was not aware of all the businesses and innovative residents Beavertown has/had!!"
"Picked mine up this afternoon…love it! Great job to those that worked on this project…definitely worth the wait!"
While the initial print run has sold out, there is still significant interest in the book. We are currently considering placing another order, but in order to move forward, we need a minimum of 100 pre-orders. The cost is a $45.00 donation per book, with all proceeds benefiting the Beavertown Historical Society.
